Glass Skin is the term given to the Korean complexion trend of luminous, smooth and hydrated looking skin. There is no universally agreed-upon method to achieve glass skin and the method will depend upon your skin type.
To achieve luminous hydrated skin a routine may consist of cleansing, applying serums, exfoliating and finally a hydrating moisturiser. Makeup can also be used to create a smooth and dewy finish.
The first step is to remove make up then cleanse with an appropriate cleanser for your skin - the double cleanse. For example dry skin would use a hydrating cleanser such as Skin Sculpt Cleanse and Hydrate and oilier skin or spot prone skin would use a cleanser with AHA’s (alpha hydroxy acids) such as Skin Sculpt Cleanse and Exfoliate with glycolic acid.
Intense hydration lies at the core of a glass skin regime. Products containing humectants like hyaluronic acid and glycerin keep the skin looking plump and hydrated such as Skin Sculpt Optimsed Hyaluronic Acid Serum and Advanced Multipeptide Cream. In addition, layering different types of hydrators is effective which may involve applying a serum then a cream on top.
Bi-weekly treatment with exfoliating scrubs and AHA products can be used to remove dead skin cells and reveal smoother skin below. Glycolic products such as Cleanse and Exfoliate can be applied to the skin all over the face or only several areas like the nose and chin to help with clogged pores, and a scrub like Polish and Prepare to manually yet gently exfoliate.
Finally when using any products with AHA’s an SPF should be applied on top.
